Introduction: The ancient castle of Ghamchoghay-Qamchqa Castle -Valley of Kings- Dareh e Shahan(Persian: قلعه تاریخی قمچقای )

The ruins of this castle are 45 Kilometers away from Bijar. This castle was built in 8thand 9th century BC. It is surrounded by deep valleys and overlooks Shahan valley. It seems that the castle has been in use even until the Sasanid and Islamic periods.

Walking path length: Just a few hundreds meter

Days of trip: 2-3 Days from Tehran to Tehran (Without heavy traffic you need 6-8 hr driving from Tehran to the ancient castle of Ghamchoghay)
